Job summary

Hallmark Luxury Care Homes is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our caring team. This entry-level role offers involvement in a wide range of kitchen activities, from food preparation to supporting the kitchen team, while upholding high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

You will work on a 4 days on / 3 days off rota, with most evening shifts finishing by 7pm and minimal weekend work. We promote paid overtime or time off in lieu for hours over 40.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen is preferred but not required.
• Punctuality and reliability are valued traits.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the hospitality team to ensure high-quality catering and dining experiences.
• Prepare ingredients and assist the kitchen team for the day ahead.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene policies and food safety management systems.
• Maintain cleaning schedules in line with company procedures.
• Attend Health & Safety, food hygiene, and COSHH training updates as required.
