A catering service provider is seeking an experienced Kitchen Assistant for ongoing work in a retirement village in Liverpool. This part-time role requires commitment to work on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 10 am to 6:30 pm. The ideal candidate will have at least 12 months of kitchen experience and a level 2 food safety certification. Responsibilities include food preparation, supporting the chef, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness during busy service times.

Have at least 12 months catering experience?

Hold an Adults DBS dated in last 12 months

This role will require you to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday every week online 10am - 6.30pm. Please only apply if you can commit to all 3 days. As the hours are over 20 - no students with restrictions should apply.

As an experienced kitchen assistant, you will be familiar with a fast-paced catering environment, already be hands on, supporting the chef, food prepping, making sandwiches and salad preparation. You will also be efficient at the kitchen role and have a good understanding of how kitchens are managed, operated and cleaned down for each service. You will be working in a retirement village with mature clients.

Is this you?

• Hold a level 2 food safety or willing to purchase and undergo training
• At least 12 months experience in a kitchen
• Understand how to support the chef on site and be quick at food prep and cleaning

The role is based in Liverpool 19, Garston. The hours and days are fixed weekly. The role is ongoing. The retirement village is for clients to live on site and visitors who are related to the clients may visit, we cater for Breakfast, Lunch and dinner. Hot & old food is served daily, and weekends can be very busy hence we would require someone with experience.

There is an enhanced rate for part of the weekend
