Job summary

Vertas Group is seeking a Food Service Assistant (Temporary) for Bracken Hill Special Kirkby in Ashfield, NG17 7HZ. The role runs Monday to Friday, 10:15 am to 1:30 pm (16.25 hours/week), with start date 02.11.2026 and a temporary end date 18.05.2027 (term time only).

Applicants must have a Food Safety Certificate and an Enhanced DBS with Children's Barred List check on the Update Service. Pre-employment checks will apply; veterans are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and serving of food and beverages.

• Replenishing food, drinks and supplies as required.
• Following food safety, health and safety and hygiene procedures at all times.

We are currently recruiting experienced Food Service Assistant professionals to support at Bracken Hill Special Kirkby in Ashfield NG17 7HZ

These temporary position offer an immediate start for candidates who currently hold a valid Enhanced DBS with a Children's Barred List check on the Update Service.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled catering professional with experience at busy kitchen environment.
