Job summary

Certas Energy is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the day-to-day running of our retail kitchen outlet. You will prepare and serve food, deliver excellent customer service, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will follow HACCP requirements, assist with stock management and deliveries, and contribute to meeting site sales targets while working as part of a wider retail team.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or food service is desirable.
• Strong customer-focused approach and commitment to great service.
• Good awareness of food hygiene, cleanliness and safe working practices.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain high standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food in line with brand standards.
• Deliver excellent customer service and create a positive customer experience.
• Support food preparation and maintain high standards of cleanliness across the kitchen.
• Follow food hygiene standards and HACCP requirements.
• Complete daily and scheduled cleaning tasks.
• Follow company policies covering health & safety, food safety, cash handling and stock control.
• Support stock management and deliveries, reporting shortages where required.
• Help contribute to site sales targets.
• Deliver fast and efficient service during busy trading periods.
• Work collaboratively as part of the wider retail team.
