Job summary

Sodexo Group is seeking a motivated Kitchen Assistant to support our catering team at RAF Brize Norton, Carterton. The role involves food preparation from wraps to pizzas, adhering to hygiene standards and delivering a high-quality takeaway service for personnel.

You will assist the chef, work in a fast-paced environment, and help maintain cleanliness. Full training is provided, with on-the-job development and a range of benefits including apprenticeship qualifications and wellbeing support.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and presentation of food and beverages in line with hygiene and safety standards
• Serve pre-ordered food and drinks to customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Maintain cleanliness in kitchen, serving areas, and dining spaces at all times
• Support chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks adhering to strict recipe cards and production methods
• Ensure all utensils, dishes, and equipment are washed and stored correctly
• Follow food safety regulations, including proper storage and handling of food items
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages to supervisors
• Assist with deliveries, including unpacking and storing supplies
• Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer queries or requests
• Adhere to company policies, health & safety regulations, and cleanliness standards
