Job summary

Maki & Ramen is launching a new site in London, seeking a motivated Kitchen Assistant to support chefs with prep, hygiene, and stock management. This full-time role offers a dynamic start in a growing brand known for homemade ramen and fresh sushi.

The ideal candidate brings basic kitchen hygiene knowledge, teamwork, and reliability. You’ll work day and night shifts, enjoy staff meals, and benefit from a competitive salary plus tips as part of a growing team.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Good physical stamina and time management.
• Quick learner with attention to detail.
• Previous kitchen experience (a plus, not required).
• Food safety certification (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Support chefs with food prep (chopping, washing, etc.).
• Keep kitchen areas clean and organized.
• Assist with stock rotation and ingredient storage.
• Wash dishes and sanitize equipment.
• Dispose of waste properly and follow hygiene standards.
• Restock supplies as needed during service.

Pay Rate: £12.71 - £13.00 (typical earnings up to £14-£15 with tips)

Hours: 45-50 per week (hours are negotiable)
