Job summary

Squire's Garden Centres is seeking a Catering Assistant to support the Catering Team. You will work closely with the Catering Manager and cover Saturdays 10:30-15:30, contributing to salad and sandwich prep, cooking hot foods, and maintaining high food safety standards.

The role offers opportunities to learn, develop skills in catering, and grow within a friendly, customer-focused environment. This position is based at our garden centres networks in the South East.

Qualifications

• Willingness to study alongside the role to gain qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Carry out duties as requested by management.
• Work within the kitchen team to prepare salads, vegetables and sandwiches.
• Cook and bake hot food, sweets and pastries when required.
• Ensure food is stored to company standards.
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Undertake general kitchen and restaurant cleaning.
• Support kitchen and catering team in other duties as needed.
