Job summary

Bupa is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant for our care home in Broxmore Park, United Kingdom. You will support the Kitchen Team by plating meals, preparing trolleys and maintaining clean preparation areas to ensure a high standard of service for residents.

You will monitor stock, follow COSHH and HACCP guidelines, assist with catering for events, and work closely with the kitchen and care home teams to create a warm, home-like dining experience.

• Monitoring stock rotation, complying to company policies and procedures following all mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines
• Assisting with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties
• Working with the wider kitchen and care home teams, communicating with others and helping residents enjoy mealtimes

• Assisting the chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys and ensure all preparation areas are kept clean and tidy

• Assisting with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties A passion for food with previous experience working in a kitchen and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. You want to deliver an excellent service at each meal and make our residents feel at home. You'll understand the importance of maintaining high standards in and around the home, ensuring our residents enjoy a pleasant dining experience. Working with the wider kitchen and care home teams - you're comfortable communicating with others, cherishing the little moments with our residents. Trowbridge Oaks is a homely care home offering nursing, residential, palliative and respite care.
