Job summary

Hartford Care Group is seeking a Kitchen Assistant at The Coach House care home in Wolverhampton to support the kitchen team in preparing and serving nutritious meals for residents.

The role involves food preparation, washing dishes, cleaning kitchen areas, and strictly following food hygiene and health and safety procedures to ensure residents' dietary needs are met.

We offer 30 or 37.5 hours per week with benefits including a company pension, DBS check, onsite parking, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Hygiene is essential; Level 3 desirable.
• Previous kitchen assistant experience is essential.
• Flexible working is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and serving meals for residents.

• Follow food hygiene and health and safety procedures.
• Help meet residents' dietary needs and preferences.

About the role

The role of a Kitchen Assistant at Select is to support the kitchen team in preparing and serving nutritious meals for residents. Duties include food preparation, washing dishes, cleaning kitchen areas and equipment, following food hygiene and health and safety procedures, and helping to ensure residents’ dietary needs and preferences are met. The role also involves working as part of a team and maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming kitchen environment.

What we need from you

Level 2 Food Hygiene is essential, level 3 would be desirable.

Previous kitchen assistant experience is essential
