Job summary

The Tiverton Hotel Lounge & Venue is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support the kitchen team, maintain a clean and hygienic environment, and assist with basic food preparation. This hands-on role offers the chance to contribute to a great guest food experience and work with a close-knit team.

Experience in kitchen or hospitality is beneficial, and the role emphasizes flexibility, adaptability, and teamwork. Meals on duty, staff discounts, and other hospitality perks are part of the package.

Tiverton Hotel Lounge & Venue has 69 spacious bedrooms, flexible conference and banqueting suites, for up to 200, and a popular bar and Gallery restaurant. The hotel is in a unique setting in Mid-Devon.

The Role of Kitchen Porter

The Kitchen Porter will be responsible for supporting the kitchen team to ensure a clean and hygienic environment.

The Kitchen Porter will be responsible for ensuring a clean kitchen that is well organised to enable the team to work efficiently. The Kitchen Porter will ensure that all standards are maintained and that they work collaboratively and safely at all times. The Kitchen Porter will support the chef brigade and have the opportunity to develop some basic kitchen skills. The role also supports with putting deliveries away and stock rotation so fantastic organisation and being adaptable are attributes required in the role.

The role is a hands-on role for someone who is flexible and would enjoy supporting the delivery of a great food experience and being part of a strong team.

The Kitchen Porter will ideally be experienced in a kitchen environment however if you have the drive and want to learn the role, we will help you develop and grow skills.
