Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is hiring a Kitchen Assistant for Priory Court Care Home in Stamford. You will support the catering function, help with food preparation, and keep a clean kitchen to deliver high-quality meals for residents.

The role requires a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, knowledge of health and safety rules, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment while showing care for residents and teamwork with staff.

Qualifications

• Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.

• Efficient, capable of sustained physical effort and handling a demanding workload.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as Kitchen Assistant is tosupportthe catering function in food preparation and maintaining a clean environment for the safe production of beverages and meals, ensuring a high quality and comprehensive service is delivered to residents.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:Understandingthe principles of safe food handling, to ensure all food preparations undertaken in the kitchen is to the highest standards of hygiene. Contributingfully to team working, responding positively tocolleagues,and actioning all reasonable work instructions promptly. Advisingon the supply and quality of items used to carry out tasks, ensuring thetimelyandappropriate orderingof replacement goods. Actingaccordingly towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
