Job summary

Runwood Homes is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support Chefs in daily kitchen operations at our care home. You will help maintain cleanliness, perform general kitchen tasks, and ensure meals are prepared to high standards in line with our policies.

You will follow COSHH and HACCP guidelines, assist with catering for special events such as summer fayres, and take part in training to develop your skills and support safe, efficient service.

Job description

As members of the support services team, our Kitchen Assistants help the Chefs with the daily operations of the kitchen. Your responsibilities will include maintaining cleanliness and performing general kitchen tasks to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly in the care home. Our Kitchen Assistants adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as follow all necessary COSHH and HACPP guidelines. Additionally, you will be involved in catering for special events at the home, such as the annual summer fayres.
