Job summary

Bupa's Kitchen Assistant at Broomcroft House Care Home on Ecclesall Road South, Sheffield, is seeking a hands-on team player to support the kitchen, help plate meals and keep prep areas clean and tidy for our residents.

You should have kitchen experience and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, and you’ll contribute to high‑standards of dining and resident comfort. The role is permanent, part‑time hours (8am–6pm) with benefits including a free meal on every shift and holiday entitlement.

• A passion for food with previous experience working in a kitchen and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• You want to deliver an excellent service at each meal and make our residents feel at home.
• You’ll understand the importance of maintaining high standards in and around the home, ensuring our residents enjoy a pleasant dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the link between the main kitchen and our residents
• Assisting the chefs to plate meals, prepare food trolleys and ensure all preparation areas are kept clean and tidy
• Monitoring stock rotation, complying to company policies and procedures following all mandatory COSHH and HACPP guidelines
• Assisting with catering for special events such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties

Salary: £12.75 - £13.75ph dependent on experience. Permanent contract. Hours between 8am and 6pm.
