Job summary

The Carnarvon Arms, a pub, restaurant and hotel near Highclere Castle, is hiring a Kitchen Assistant. This part-time role is evenings predominantly, with shifts typically 3pm–9pm or 11am–3pm on odd days. The position is permanent, offering 15–20 hours per week and a welcoming team in a busy kitchen.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Kitchen Assistant or desire to start a hospitality career with a passion for teamwork and high standards.
• Hard-working, dedicated and able to help keep the kitchen clean and tidy.
• Ability to learn new skills and work well with the kitchen team.

Responsibilities

• Support kitchen team to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.
• Assist with food preparation and service as required.

We are looking for an existing Kitchen Assistant or an individual looking for their next step to their hospitality career, who considers themselves to have a passion to work within a reliable team that delivers high quality standards. We need hard-working and dedicated people behind the scenes to help our restaurants run smoothly and to ensure that they are always clean and tidy. As the successful Kitchen Porter you will:
