Job summary

The Campion School in Havering is hiring a part-time Kitchen Assistant to support breakfast and lunch service for students, including sixth form. The role involves preparing and serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment.

Candidates should have relevant experience, with strong communication and independence. The post is for two days per week (Wednesday and Friday), 4.5 hours per day (10:00–14:30), with scale 2 spinal points 3, and the salary range £6,265–£6,435

The Campion School is committed to providing the best possible learning and working environment for both pupils and staff. The Kitchen Assistant will be responsible for preparing and serving food and beverages to students during the school day as well as maintaining a clean and healthy kitchen environment. The kitchen serves breakfast and lunch to for students including sixth form students.

Candidates are expected to have the relevant experience and should be able to demonstrate the ability to work effectively with members of the school community, showing initiative and independence when needed. Excellent communication skills and a willingness to respond to and be involved in the daily life of the school are essential.

This role is for two days per week and for 4.5 hours per day 10:00 to 14:30 a total of 9 hours. A competitive salary will be offered in accordance with experience and qualifications -Scale 2 (Spinal Points 3) Actual Salary between £6,265 and £6,435 per annum (15.75 per hour)
