Job summary

BUZZ Bingo in Feltham, Greater London, is seeking a Kitchen Assistant/Cook on a 30-hour contract. You will manage kitchen service, work with the team and sometimes solo, ensuring dishes are prepared to our standards and delivering high-quality meals to customers.

You will develop knowledge of our menu and suppliers, monitor wastage, follow operating manuals, handle deliveries and stock (FIFO), and cook to order while staying calm in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience cooking to specification.
• Desirable experience cooking from a cook-to-order menu.
• Ability to work in a busy kitchen and remain calm under pressure.
• Knowledge of legal cooking requirements including minimum temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Develop an in-depth knowledge of our menu, suppliers and how to produce all dishes.
• Monitor and record wastage.
• Operate in accordance with Operating Manuals, standards and procedures.
• Check-in food deliveries, complete administration and storage correctly.
• Ensure stock rotation (FIFO) and stock counts are accurate.
• Consistently cook food from our menu to specification and company standards.
• Complete other ad hoc duties as requested.

The Role You ll Play

As a Kitchen Assistant, you are responsible for managing the kitchen service and working both as part of a team and on some sessions, alone in the kitchen. You make sure our food is prepared and served in line with company standards, ensuring fantastic quality is consistently delivered to our Customers. The Winning Combination We re Looking For

• Previous experience of cooking to specification, following directions and producing meals based on brand standards
• It is desirable you have previous experience of cooking from a 'cook to order' menu
• The ability to work in a busy kitchen environment and remain calm under pressure
• Knowledge of legal cooking requirements, including minimum temperatures etc.
