About The Role

Kitchen Assistant

Location: Castle Dene - Residential Home, BH8 0DB

Pay Rate: £12.30 per hour

Hours: 20 hrs per week (includes alternate weekend working)

Shift patterns: 7.30am to 3.30pm & 10.30am to 6.30pm

We have an exciting opportunity for a Kitchen Assistant to join the TEAM at Castle Dene, our specialist, frail elderly and dementia residential care home located in Bournemouth.

What you will be doing
  • Support the Chef team with the basic preparation of fresh and nutritious meals, snacks and drinks for our residents
  • Assist with supporting residents with an enjoyable dining experience every day
  • Ensuring kitchen and dining room areas are kept hygienic and clean
  • Washing all cooking appliances and crockery – sanitising all food preparation areas
Who are we looking for

Previous experience within a kitchen environment is not essential but be prepared to be busy in a fast‑paced role.

Caring individual with the ability to support our residents during mealtimes.

Flexible in the hours that you work and happy to join in as part of our larger kitchen team.
