KITCHEN ASSISTANT

Location: The Old Downs Residential Care Home in Dartford, Kent

Contracted hours: 30 hours (to include – every other weekend free, as applicable), 3 x 10 hr shifts 08:00 - 19:00

Work flexibility: In accordance with your availability and the service requirements

Hourly rate of pay: £12.50

You will be part of an exceptionally supportive team, welcoming you into providing outstanding physical, emotional, and social assistance to the people living at The Old Downs Residential Care Home.

The Kitchen Assistant responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Preparing all foodstuff, as directed by the Head Chef.
  • Assisting and executing various kitchen duties such as ensuring cleaning schedules are adhered to.
  • Assisting in preparation and serving of all meals, in a timely manner.
  • Liaising with care staff and residents in a polite and person-centred way.
  • Being responsible for understanding health and safety requirements.
