  • Ensure kitchen and dining areas are kept hygienic and clean.
  • Wash cooking appliances and crockery, sanitising food preparation areas.

About The Role

Kitchen Assistant

Location: Beauchamp House, Hatch Beauchamp - TA3 6SG

Pay rate: £12.30 per hour

Hours: 20 hrs per week

We have an exciting opportunity for a Kitchen Assistant to join the team at Beauchamp House, a residential and nursing country house care home. Beauchamp House is a Grade 2 listed Georgian manor house, nestled in the Somerset village of Hatch Beauchamp, Taunton.

Previous experience within a kitchen environment is not essential but be prepared to be busy in a fast‑paced role.

Caring individual with the ability to support our residents during mealtimes.

Flexible in the hours that you work and happy to join in as part of our larger kitchen team.

What you will be doing:
  • Support the Chef team with the basic preparation of fresh and nutritious meals, snacks and drinks for our residents.
  • Assist with supporting residents with an enjoyable dining experience every day.
  • Ensuring kitchen and dining room areas are kept hygienic and clean.
  • Washing all cooking appliances and crockery – sanitising all food preparation areas.

You need to be 18 years of age or over to join the Care South Team.

You will need your own transport as we have no public transport links to the village.
