Responsibilities
- Basic Food Preparation: Assist in basic food preparation tasks as directed by the chefs.
- Washing Up, Cleaning, and Clearing: Ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are washed, cleaned, and stored appropriately. Keep kitchen areas tidy and organized.
- Unloading and Putting Away Deliveries: Receive and unpack deliveries, ensuring items are stored in the correct locations.
- Emptying Bins, Sweeping, and Mopping Floors: Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment by regularly emptying bins and cleaning floors.
- Ensuring Equipment is Clean and Stored Properly: Follow established procedures for cleaning and storing kitchen equipment to ensure its longevity and functionality.
- Deep Cleaning Fridges and Store Rooms: Conduct regular deep cleaning of fridges and store rooms to uphold sanitary and safety standards.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations. Take initiative to address tasks and challenges as they arise.
Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory.
