Job Title: Kit Cutter / Technician - Composites

Location: Coventry (Bayton Road, Exhall)

Salary: £13.00 - £14.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Hours: Full-time, permanent

Working Pattern:

  • Until 31st December 2025: Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 2:30pm, Friday 6:00am - 11:00am
  • From 1st January 2026: Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 3:30pm (Friday off - 4-day working week)
The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Kit Cutter / Technician to join a respected composites manufacturer based in Coventry. This position is ideal for someone who is organised, practical, and eager to build a career within the composites or manufacturing industry. Previous experience in a similar environment is beneficial, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cut and prepare composite material kits according to templates, patterns, and work instructions
  • Support the production of tooling and components for automotive, aerospace, and motorsport customers
  • Handle and store materials safely and maintain accurate stock levels
  • Assist in laminating and lay‑up activities when required (training provided)
  • Maintain work areas in line with 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Work closely with production staff to ensure smooth workflow and on‑time delivery
About You
  • Some previous experience in manufacturing, composites, or engineering is an advantage
  • Practical, hands‑on approach with good attention to detail
  • Logical, reliable, and able to follow work instructions accurately
  • Strong organisational skills and willingness to learn new processes
  • Able to work independently or as part of a small, supportive team
  • Committed to maintaining quality and safety at all times
