About The Role

We are currently seeking a King’s Trust Team Leader to join our Community Learning department at The Bedford College Group.

  • Programme Leadership & Delivery – Organise and lead three King’s Trust Teams annually, overseeing recruitment, induction, residentials, and community projects to meet learning outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Liaise with employers, job centres, youth organisations, and community groups to promote the programme and secure placements and partnerships.
  • Team Support & Development – Provide leadership, guidance, and regular reviews for team members, ensuring personal development and successful qualification achievement.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance – Conduct risk assessments, verify placement and residential safety, and maintain accurate records in line with safeguarding and college policies.
  • Administration & Promotion – Manage budgets, report to the Team Manager, attend training and meetings, and promote the programme through outreach and employer engagement.
About You
  • Qualifications & Knowledge – Holds GCSEs in English and Maths, a relevant Level 3 qualification, and either has or is willing to achieve a Level 3 Award in Education and Teaching.
  • Experience & Awareness – Experienced in work placements, health and safety, and supporting young people with challenging behaviours, with a strong understanding of equality and diversity.
  • Skills & Competencies – Brings leadership, communication, IT, counselling, and assessment skills, with the ability to motivate, guide, and build confidence in others.
  • Professionalism & Values – Demonstrates time management, teamwork, and professionalism, aligned with the College’s values of Student Focus, High Performance, Respect, Openness, and Honesty.
  • Commitment & Flexibility – Committed to safeguarding, continuous development, and flexible working across locations, with a full driving licence and strong personal boundaries.
