Job description

Complete Minds Academy (CMA) is an innovative and caring online day school for homeschooled young people – many of whom have had less than optimal experiences in traditional education. We're seeking a qualified, emotionally intelligent English teacher to join our growing team.

About the role

You’ll teach small groups of KS3‑4 students working towards the AQA English specification in a highly supportive, student‑centred environment. Lessons are delivered online via Google Meet and Miro, with training provided. Our culture values warmth, creativity, and connection – we want teachers who form genuine bonds with their classes and make literature and language come alive through multimedia, discussion and imagination.

Key Qualifications
  • UK‑based, qualified (QTS or PGCE)
  • DBS‑checked, with two professional references
  • Skilled in online delivery and confident with ICT
  • A self‑starter who loves their subject and believes in second chances for students

If you’re passionate about empowering learners through English and want to teach with freedom, purpose and care – we’d love to hear from you.

Compensation & Logistics
  • £30 per hour‑long lesson (freelance contract)
  • Weekly pay direct to your account
  • 2‑4 hours to start, with scope to increase over the next month or two
  • Afternoon/evening classes possible as the programme expands
