Job summary

Education Matters is recruiting a Key Stage 1 Teacher for a September 2026 start in Redbourn, Hertfordshire. The role offers £180 - £250 per day, full-time, long-term.

The candidate will plan and deliver KS1 lessons, foster an inclusive classroom, assess pupil progress, and collaborate with staff and parents. Applicants should hold QTS, have UK primary KS1 experience (ECTs welcome), and possess strong classroom management and safeguarding commitment.

Qualifications

  • QTS is required.
  • Experience teaching in a UK primary school, KS1 experience preferred.
  • Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

£180 - £250 per day

Full-Time | Long-Term

Education Matters is currently recruiting a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Redbourn, Hertfordshire, from September 2026.

We are looking for a teacher who can inspire, motivate, and engage young learners while creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Whether you're an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), we'd love to hear from you.

The Role as a Key Stage 1 Teacher, you will:
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Assess, monitor, and support pupils' academic and personal progress.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff.
  • Promote high standards of teaching, learning, behaviour, and safeguarding.
The Ideal Candidate To be considered, you will have:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching within a UK primary school, ideally in Key Stage 1 (ECT placements welcomed).
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A genuine passion for education and helping children reach their full potential.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
