Job summary

Morrisons is seeking a Manufacturing Key Operative - Maintenance to support multi-skilled engineers. You will prepare and execute Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks and carry out trade tasks across the site, including joinery, painting, plumbing and mechanical work.

By adopting a planned approach, you will help identify maintenance needs, ensure asset performance, and comply with Health & Safety and Food Safety policies while providing flexible support across the business.

Qualifications

• Engineering-related experience from a comparable role.
• Working knowledge of safe working practices and risk assessment.
• Trade qualification demonstrating competence in basic mechanical, plumbing or fabric work.
• Good time management and communication skills.
• Ability to comply with site policies including Health and Food Safety standards.

More about the role

As a Manufacturing Key Operative - Maintenance, you'll provide support to the multi-skilled engineers with the preparation and execution of Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks, as well as undertake a variety of trade tasks including, but not limited to, joinery, painting, plumbing and mechanical work across the site.

By taking a planned approach to maintenance tasks, you'll help to proactively identify maintenance required and will help to deliver high standards of asset performance. Working flexibly to support all areas of the business where required, you will also ensure a robust safe system of work is applied, with risk assessments completed as needed.
