Job summary

Morrisons in Bradford is seeking a Manufacturing Key Operative - Maintenance to assist engineers with planned maintenance and a range of trade tasks across the site. You will help identify maintenance needs, ensure safe working practices, and support asset performance in a busy manufacturing environment.

The role requires some engineering experience, a trade qualification in basic mechanical, plumbing or fabric work, and strong time management and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Some engineering related experience from a comparable role.
• Working knowledge of safe working practices / risk assessment.
• Trade qualification demonstrating competence in basic mechanical, plumbing or fabric work.
• Good time management and communication skills.
• Ability to comply with Health and Food Safety standards on site.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to multi-skilled engineers with Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks.
• Undertake trade tasks across the site including joinery, painting, plumbing and mechanical work.
• Help identify maintenance requirements and ensure safe systems of work are applied.
• Contribute to delivering high asset performance and reliability.

More about the role

As a Manufacturing Key Operative - Maintenance, you'll provide support to the multi-skilled engineers with the preparation and execution of Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks, as well as undertake a variety of trade tasks including, but not limited to, joinery, painting, plumbing and mechanical work across the site.

By taking a planned approach to maintenance tasks, you'll help to proactively identify maintenance required and will help to deliver high standards of asset performance. Working flexibly to support all areas of the business where required, you will also ensure a robust safe system of work is applied, with risk assessments completed as needed.
