Overview

My client is a manufacturer of sustainable packaging in the food packaging sector with year upon year growth working with businesses local and high-end national businesses. They are well recognised for their specialism in folded carton, flexibles and other areas within the packaging industry. Employing 200+ staff across 1 site my client is looking for a Key Account Manager to maintain and grow an existing portfolio of customers.

Key Account Manager

£55,000 to £65,000, DOE, plus benefits package

UK (Hybrid Working)

Our client is offering a salary reflecting experience with an Electric/hybrid car/car allowance, 20% bonus based on personal/company targets, 25 days holiday+ bank, pension, health care, life insurance, 5% pension laptop, and phone.

Responsibilities
  • Focusing on developing an existing portfolio of £6,000,000 across the UK&Ireland.
  • Finding new leads, prospects and developing a pipeline where you will be able to achieve £500,000 - £1,000,000 in new business.
  • You will be expected to find new leads in food and Non-Food sectors
  • Your role includes dealing with new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, services prospection, negotiation and commercial follow up of UK customers and branching out further afield acting in the markets targeted by the organisation.
  • Be part of the team ensuring the department targets are achieved and exceeded.
  • You will play an active part in the development of the sales budget, monitor revenue and margins, promote the image of the company and you will continue with the improvement of the initiatives of the company.
  • Conduct weekly reports on customer visits, pipeline, sales projections etc.
  • Provide excellent communicate channels both internally and externally.
Essential
  • A minimum of 1-4 years in print & packaging.
  • Experience of setting own short, medium, and long terms new business targets as well as a strategic approach and consultative approach to the role.
  • Be able to manage and nurture an existing portfolio of around £6,000,000.
  • Be able to hit a new business target of £500,000 - £1,000,000 in the above sectors.
  • Have a great understanding of the UK market.
  • You must be happy developing new business opportunities and building on your successes.
  • Improve on gross margins.
  • A sense of business relationships and customer service.
  • High interest in the technical dimension of the products.
