Kverneland Group offers an innovative range of soil and seeding equipment, forage and bale equipment, spreading, spraying, electronic solutions and digital farm services for agricultural tractors and implements.

We have a great opportunity for someone to join our team as Key Account Manager, covering Northern England and Southern Scotland. You will develop and maintain a sales strategy to promote profitable sales of the Kverneland Group agricultural implements range in three product brands: Kubota, Kverneland and Vicon.

The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Developing and then delivering a full sales budget and forecasts for approval by the DM to cover Key Accounts.
  • Maintaining and developing the existing Key Account’s across the area.
  • Identifying the ‘target’ companies where business opportunities could exist in the future and nurture these relationships with regards to being potential accounts for the future.
  • Implementing innovative marketing and sales planning initiatives.
  • Providing KPI reports on a monthly basis (or as required) to all key account clients.
  • Attending and assisting/presenting in various meetings/initiatives such as Key Account client meetings, sales meetings, events, training etc.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to motivate dealers/distributors, their sales and marketing managers and appropriate staff in conjunction with the DM

Skills and experience required include:

  • At least five years experience of selling/retailing ideally into the agricultural machinery market.
  • Ideally situated within the selling area consisting of the Scottish Borders and North East England.
  • Previous experience of B2B selling.
  • The ability to work as part of a team, in particularly for setting up shows and training events.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally to dealers & customers as well as written, mainly using emails.
  • Computer literacy with experience in online systems such as Microsoft Teams, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Power BI, CRM or other customer relationship management tools, including sales mapping.
  • Be willing to work away from home with multiple night stays away as well as some overseas travel.
  • Full driving license is essential ideally with trailer qualification and no points or disqualifications.
  • Present a professional image and have the ability to build strong relationships, supporting and growing the business with a focus on development of the dealer network.
  • Have a hands-on approach, with the ability to demonstrate a range of products.
  • Confident in sharing knowledge of ISOBUS technology, precision farming and modern digital farming systems.
  • Ideally possess a higher formal agricultural or associated qualification.
