Job summary

A leading cleaning services provider in the UK is seeking a Cleaning Key Account Manager to oversee service operations for a large rail contract. You will maintain strong client relationships, ensure compliance to Health & Safety, and lead a team to deliver exceptional service. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing service teams, budgeting, and maintaining high service quality. This role comes with 33 days of leave and access to a variety of employee perks.

Job description

We are looking for a Cleaning Key Account Manager to join our Transport team overlooking a large rail contract. Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, you'll take full ownership of cleaning operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery and compliance across all locations. You'll lead and inspire a dedicated team of 3 Managers, bringing energy, leadership, and a proactive approach to drive continuous improvement and client satisfaction. As a Key Account Manager, you'll be:

  • Maintaining strong client relationship with high levels of satisfaction
  • Providing and maintaining the quality‑of‑service delivery
  • Managing, recruiting, and coaching local service teams
  • Carrying out ad‑hoc and regular activities such as projects, reports, audits as required by and to support the Operations Manager.
  • Holding regular contract and specification review meetings with customers
  • Responsible for ensuring Health & Safety procedures and legislation is adhered to
  • Looking for opportunities for continuous improvement, cost savings and account growth. Strong leadership and motivational abilities, with the capacity to plan ahead, work under pressure, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis
  • A working knowledge of Health and Safety systems within the cleaning industry, ensuring safety for all individuals involved.
  • Previous experience working with commercial clients would be highly desirable, along with a flexible approach to meeting diverse client needs.
  • A full driving license and the ability to travel to various sites as required - occasional nights required. We are employee‑owned, making you a beneficiary of our future success
