Location: Based within a 2-hour radius of Northampton (national travel required)
Salary: £70,000 basic + uncapped commission (OTE £100k+)

About the Company

Our client is a market-leading OEM specializing in the design and supply of high-quality capital equipment for the meat, fish, and poultry processing sectors. They are renowned for their expertise in mixing, grinding, slicing, and filling systems, trusted by leading food producers to deliver complete processing lines and comprehensive aftermarket support.

The Role

We are seeking a driven Key Account Manager to build on existing relationships and drive growth at group level within major food processing accounts. You will focus on expanding the company's presence across multiple sites, engaging senior stakeholders and procurement teams to maximize capital expenditure on equipment, aftermarket services, and spares.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop strong relationships with group-level decision-makers and procurement teams across multi-site and national food processing groups.
  • Proactively map out group structures to uncover opportunities at sister sites and introduce the full equipment portfolio.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, visiting sites regularly to understand operational needs and present tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with the wider sales and technical teams to deliver proposals that meet customer requirements and drive CAPEX projects forward.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets, contributing to the company’s continued market leadership and growth.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience managing large, complex accounts — ideally within food processing or capital equipment sales.
  • Strong understanding of group structures and procurement processes, with confidence in navigating multi-site organizations.
  • A proactive, “hunter” mindset with the ability to open new doors and build strong, lasting relationships.
  • Technical understanding of capital equipment and processing solutions; knowledge of mixing, grinding, slicing, and filling equipment is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior decision-makers.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the UK.
  • Must be based within a 2-hour radius of Northampton.
