Responsibilities
- Grow Givaudan's flavouring business with designated accounts by managing top and bottom lines.
- Assume lead role for all Givaudan activities for designated accounts.
- Cultivate customer relationships with key decision-makers, positioning Givaudan as the preferred supplier.
- Develop, present and implement strategic and actionable Account Development Plans (ADPs).
- Own, develop and communicate sales forecasts and budgets for key accounts.
- Manage brief pipeline (quality and quantity of projects) to achieve growth plans.
- Defend base business within your customers.
- Negotiate pricing agreements within guidelines and manage credit, pricing and rebates for key accounts.
Qualifications
- University degree.
- Experience: +4 years of experience in account management or a related field.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Technical Skills: Apply strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting skills to develop ADPs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Collaborating with different teams: Work with our technical Flavour Creation & Application, Marketing, Customer Service & Sales Support teams to ensure successful project execution. Collaboration and teamwork are important to our success.
- Handle complexity: Balance attention to detail with a hands-on problem-solving approach.
- Knowledge of customers and competition: Understanding of customer strategy, initiatives, priorities, launch processes and how to position Givaudan's offerings with our customers who operate in the consumer-packaged goods sector. Experience of operating within Foodservice channels would be advantageous, but not necessary.
- Possesses deep understanding of profitability goals for key accounts.
- Effectively generate new business opportunities by identifying unmet customer needs.
- Can accomplish all account management steps in the brief handling process, through to production trial stage.
- Ability to build strong relationships with key customer decision-makers and your internal Givaudan colleagues.
- Understanding of the competitor landscape.
