Job summary

Graphcore is seeking a software engineer to join their drivers and utilities team in the UK. This role involves designing and implementing OS Kernel and device driver software to optimize performance of their cutting-edge AI compute solutions. Candidates should have experience in C/C++ and an understanding of OS Kernel development. Qualifications

• Industry experience in software development using C/C++.
• Familiar with OS Kernel and Device Driver development and deployment on Linux or Windows systems.
• Good understanding of lower-level software stack and interactions with hardware layer.
• Effective problem-solving skills, familiar with debugging and performance analysis tools.
• Experience with PCIe, CPU, device drivers, SoC, firmware, and hardware/software integration.
• Experience developing firmware or drivers for GPUs or other accelerators.
• Experience working on upstreaming kernel code / contributing to the Linux kernel.
• Exposure to integration with data centre/cloud service operations like Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test and document OS Kernel and Device Driver software using C/C++/Python.
• Participate in agile development as part of a scrum team.
• Communicate effectively in technical discussions with peers.
• Work closely with hardware and silicon engineering groups.
