Kent Local Government Branch Caseworker
UNISON Kent Local Government Branch is seeking to recruit for the position based in Maidstone, working across the Kent County. A commitment to the trade union movement and UNISON values is essential.
The Caseworker will represent branch members on an individual/collective basis, providing advice on work‑related issues. This post requires industrial relations experience and a good understanding of employment law, excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as IT and administration skills.
Essential to this role is the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a wider team; a full driving licence and the ability to travel across Kent is required. A car is not provided, therefore the successful applicant will need to provide their own vehicle and provide adequate business insurance.
You must be able to work effectively under pressure and prioritise your work. You should be familiar with local government schools and academies, and the private and voluntary care sector.
