Job summary

Citi Belfast is seeking a KDB+ Software Engineer to design and deploy timeseries analytics for Equities clients. You will work with a global team to deliver high-performance, low-latency market data systems and analytics, aligning with enterprise standards and risk controls.

You will collaborate with Traders, Quants, and Global Tech to push the boundaries of tech in finance, with opportunities for hybrid work and continuous learning across the Citi Tech organization.

Qualifications

• Significant relevant experience.
• Proven experience working in KDB+/q.
• KDB+ proficiency: deep understanding of KDB+ and Q.

Responsibilities

• Drive design and development of real-time market data and analytics systems, leading KDB+/q development for trading and analytics platforms.
• Own technical delivery, and collaborate with Traders, Quants, and Global Technology teams to build high-performance, low-latency solutions.
• Develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
• Assess risk when business decisions are made, ensuring compliance with laws and Citi policies.
• Monitor and support all phases of the development lifecycle and provide user/operational support.
