Job description

The Fashion Blueprint run creative and sustainability-focused projects across fashion, textiles, and craft. Our work ranges from hands-on making and sampling through to community engagement, skills-sharing sessions, and brand collaborations.

We are looking for a skilled, experienced Kantha embroidery seamstress / artisan who can support a variety of ad-hoc activities. This may include embroidery on sample garments, small production runs, creative commissions, or demonstrations of Kantha techniques at community or brand events. The role is flexible and ideal for someone who enjoys varied, project-based work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce high-quality Kantha embroidery on garments, textiles, or samples
  • Support creative or production-led tasks as required
  • Prepare or advise on materials needed for embroidery projects
  • (Occasionally) demonstrate Kantha techniques at events or informal group sessions

Profile
  • Strong practical experience in Kantha embroidery

  • Experience with textile craft, garment construction, or tailoring is a bonus
