An organization focused on Māori development is seeking a Kaitohutohu | Advisor in Hastings. This permanent and full-time role involves working in partnership with Māori communities and developing initiatives to improve economic and social outcomes. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, critical thinking abilities, and public sector experience. A competitive salary range of $76,213 - $84,680 is offered.
Te Puni Kōkiri leads policy advice to the Government on Māori development, and Iwi and Māori relations with the Crown. To do this effectively we must position ourselves to elevate our monitoring and mentoring responsibilities and emphasise our role in holding other agencies to account for delivery of public services to, for and with Māori.
Our Hastings tīma is looking for a Kaitohutohu | Advisor . This role reports to the Manukura | Team Leader, Hastings and is a permanent and full-time opportunity.
This role offers a unique opportunity to support meaningful change by working in partnership with Māori communities, whānau, hapū, iwi, and other government agencies. You will play a key support role in developing and implementing initiatives that will improve long-term economic and social outcomes for Māori.
The likely appointment range is $76,213 - $84,680 based on skills and experience.

You will possess strong writing skills and the ability to tailor your writing for different audiences. You will be a critical thinker with the ability to identify and articulate the real issues and why they exist. You will support the development and implementation of initiatives that aim to improve long-term economic and social outcomes for Māori, based on these identified issues.
A clean full driver license would be advantageous.
