Job summary

Fashion & Retail Personnel Ltd is seeking a junior to mid-level assistant technologist to support the womenswear technical workspace in London. You will chase and check fit samples and test reports for buyer approvals, organise fit sessions, and add comments and photos to factory workbooks.

You'll liaise with offshore teams in the Far East and develop your knowledge of fabric testing and construction while operating in a commercial environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as an assistant technologist or junior seeking progression.
• Good grounding in fashion technology, fabric testing and construction.
• Experience operating in a commercial fashion environment.

Job description

This is a great role for candidates with an interest in progressing in the womenswear technical workspace.

Day to day you will support the technical manager with chasing and checking fit samples and test reports ready for approval from buyers; organising and attending fit sessions; adding comments and photos to workbooks for the factories and liaising with the offshore teams in the Far East.

You will be tech savvy and able to pick up working with new internal systems, alongside having a good grounding in fashion technology across fabric testing and construction whilst already operating in a commercial environment as an assistant technologist or a junior looking for a step up.
