Job summary

Timeline seeks a Junior Vision Engineer based in Reading, with occasional travel to other Timeline locations to support programme and maintenance needs. Qualifications

• Knowledge of vision, sound, routing, RF, IP and computer systems in Outside Broadcast is desirable
• Familiarity with UHD/HD vision systems and IP formats (SMPTE 2110, 2022-6) is beneficial
• Ability to assess television pictures and waveforms critically
• Positive, enthusiastic manner with good client and colleague interactions
• Strong customer awareness and interpersonal communication

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate equipment on OB trucks, flyaways and Timeline installations
• Support development of innovative solutions for broadcasting needs
• Collaborate with production teams to meet operational requirements
• Identify and implement fault fixes with minimal downtime
• Line up vision monitoring facilities accurately
• Rig and operate equipment as required
• Configure camera colour balance and engineering setup controls
• Contribute to build and refurbishment projects
• Develop skills within the broadcast industry
• Perform general operational duties including opening/closing OB trucks and managing power and RF systems
