Hawk Hiring in the West Malling area is seeking a dedicated automotive workshop technician for a full-time, permanent role. You will work in a thriving family dealership with a mix of main dealer standards and local flexibility, gaining direct manufacturer training and 1-on-1 mentorship.

Salary ranges from £28,000 to £35,000 base, with overtime paid at 1.5x on Saturdays and extra hours, plus a comprehensive perks package and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 / City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or 1–3 years of hands-on workshop experience).
• Ambitious mindset with a strong work ethic and drive to learn multi-brand platforms.
• Valid full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Servicing & Maintenance: Carrying out routine vehicle servicing, multi-point health checks, and PDI across new and multi-brand used fleets.
• Core Mechanical Repairs: Handling brakes, suspension components, steering setups, exhausts, and minor engine work.
• Diagnostic Upskilling: Learn to use modern diagnostic scan tools and scope equipment under senior technician guidance.
• Workshop Standards: Maintaining a clean, safe working bay, accurate job logs, and right-first-time standards.
