Full Time|London Based - Hybrid (Mandatory 1 day in office)

About Us

At Farlo, we build digital products that impact real audiences. Our clients include some of the most recognised names in live entertainment, from West End and Broadway theatres to national e-commerce brands and global ticketing platforms.

We are a London-based digital agency with deep expertise in UX/UI design, full-stack development, advanced analytics and proprietary tracking technology. We combine data-informed thinking, creative excellence and technical expertise to create user-centred digital experiences that drive measurable results for our clients.

As a small, focused team, we move quickly, take ownership at every level and give people the opportunity to make an impact from day one. Learning is built into the work, supported by constructive feedback and opportunities to develop your skills as the agency grows.

We are looking for a Junior UX Designer who will work across real briefs and experience the full UX workstream; strategy, research, design, and delivery.

About You

The right candidate will bring genuine curiosity to the role, an interest not just in the craft of design but in the reasoning behind a brief, the behaviour behind a user, and the constraints that shape a solution.

You integrate into teams with ease, leading with openness and a collaborative instinct. You take clear ownership of your work, communicate proactively, and approach feedback as a professional input rather than a personal judgement. What we value above experience is someone who pays attention to the work, to the people around them, and to the standards they are being held to.

Key Responsibilities:The day-to-day
  • Be able to identify customer pain points and contribute to defining their needs
  • Collaborate with project managers, developers, SEO, and the wider design team to understand project requirements and contribute creative, user-centred thinking
  • Produce wireframes, user journeys, and interactive prototypes that reflect user needs, business goals, and design best practice
  • Excellent understanding of web compatibility and designing user experiences for mobile, tablet and desktop
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings, presenting design rationale clearly and asking the right questions to advocate for the user
  • Strong knowledge of user-centred design principles and methodologies
  • Support quality assurance and testing processes, flagging issues and contributing to their resolution
  • Stay curious about industry trends, emerging tools, and developments in UX practice- bringing new thinking into the team where relevant
  • Develop a stronger understanding of WCAG accessibility requirements and apply them consistently across your work
Requirements:The essentials
  • Based in London or are in a commutable distance to the office
  • 1-3 years of experience in UX design or a closely related field
  • A portfolio demonstrating considered, user-centred design across web-based products or platforms
  • Proficiency with industry standard tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Demonstrate curiosity and passion for creating better user experiences and driving impact
  • A proactive approach to learning, with a genuine interest in improving your craft and developing professionally
  • Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to explain design decisions to both technical and non-technical collaborators
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift and ownership is expected early
Desirable:Bonus points
  • A degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related discipline
  • Exposure to Agile or Scrum working environments
  • Knowledge of ticketing flows/systems is advantageous
  • A basic understanding of HTML and CSS, and how technical constraints shape design decisions
  • Portfolio examples that demonstrate design improvements tied to specific user or conversion outcomes
  • Familiarity with web analytics or user behaviour tools such as GA4, Microsoft Clarity, or Hotjar
Benefits:What’s in it for you
  • Generous Holiday Allowance:Enjoy a competitive holiday package, including additional time off during the Christmas period and incremental holiday days based on tenure.
  • Flexible Working: Benefit from flexible working hours to promote work-life balance, with a hybrid model that combines remote and in-office work.
  • Early Friday Finishes:Wrap up the week with a 3pm finish every Friday.
  • Event Access: Receive complimentary tickets to prominent live events across the UK.
  • Professional Growth:Access structured personal development opportunities and dedicated time for training to enhance your skills.
  • Social Engagement: Participate in an active social events calendar and share your ideas to shape future social activities.
  • Cultural Impact:Play a role in shaping the agency’s culture as we grow and influence the benefits offered to the wider team.
