A rapidly expanding, high-performing European hedge fund, are looking to hire a junior trader.
The hire will work directly for the Head of Trading (an industry recognised name, with strong experience previously working across leading global multi‑manager hedge funds – this provides an incredible training ground for the hire), initially working as a Trader Assistant running hands‑on tasks such as trade bookings, P&L analysis / risk reports etc. A core focus for the hire is to automate / ‘fine‑tune’ many TA processes using python and once complete, the hire will work in a fully‑fledged trading role (this could be within a 6-18month timeframe depending on how successful the hire is completing those projects). Along that journey, the hire will ideally quickly take on responsibility to execute trades, with increasing trading complexity and responsibility given to them over time.
Candidates should have 2-5yrs experience working in a derivatives trader assistant / middle office role in a hedge fund or an IB. A good level of python skills is essential. A top tier academic profile is also a pre‑requisite.
The successful hire can expect an attractive increase on his/her current base salary. This is a Front Office hire, with a bonus component to reflect the responsibility – a top performer can expect to earn a large % of his/her base as a bonus.
