We're recruiting on behalf of our clients at their Norfolk Broads Hotel. We're currently seeking a passionate and driven Junior Sous Chef to join their culinary team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious chef who's ready to take the next step in their career, working within a supportive and forward-thinking kitchen environment.

About the Role

As Junior Sous Chef, you'll work closely with the Executive Head Chef and wider kitchen brigade to deliver exceptional dishes that reflect the Hotels high standards and creative culinary approach. You'll help maintain smooth day-to-day kitchen operations while supporting the development of junior team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management and food preparation
  • Ensure dishes are consistently prepared and presented to a high standard
  • Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards at all times
  • Help manage kitchen stock and assist with ordering when required
  • Contribute ideas for menu development, seasonal specials, and daily features
  • Assist with training and mentoring junior staff
Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience as a Junior Sous Chef or experienced Chef de Partie looking to step up
  • Solid understanding of modern and classic cooking techniques
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to kitchen teamwork
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality, creative dishes
  • Familiar with food safety standards and kitchen best practices
