The Slaughters Country Inn, Lower Slaughter, £33,696.00 per annum plus service charge, Full time

Location: Set in the heart of one of the most picturesque Cotswold villages, The Slaughters Country Inn offers the authentic charm of a traditional village inn. With 5 AA Gold Stars for Guest Accommodation and 2 AA rosettes, the inn provides a relaxed yet professional environment. Staff accommodation may be offered to help new members relocate, and there is free parking on‑site.

SERVICE CHARGE: We pay our team service charge each month. This pot is shared 100% amongst all staff; service charge can be around £260 a month (about £3,200 per year) over and above base pay, for a full‑time employee.

As a Junior Sous Chef, you will work with the Head Chef & Sous Chef to run a busy kitchen, creating exciting and delicious dishes for our guests.

This role would suit someone who has worked in a similar environment previously.

  • As a skilled chef, you’ll get to put those knife skills to the test, cooking with the finest ingredients.
  • You’ll need to keep up to date with allergen training to keep everyone safe.
  • Everyone in the kitchen is responsible for keeping it clean.
  • Labelling your food is important to avoid out‑of‑date stock.
  • You’ll share your knowledge with new or budding kitchen personnel.
  • You’ll be responsible for managing the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
