The Horses, Public House Group's new opening in Farringdon, is seeking a Junior Sommelier to join the team from August 2026 and help shape the venue from day one. This role offers a friendly, fast-paced environment with a commitment to excellent guest experiences.

You will work closely with the Sommelier to curate the wine list, make wine recommendations, and assist during service. Salary is £13.00 per hour plus a service charge of up to £4–£5 per hour, with 50% off meals and other staff

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in a high end restaurant or hospitality environment.
• A deep passion for wine and a desire to share your knowledge.
• Understanding of global wine regions, varietals, and pairing principles.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Sommelier to manage our wine list, ensuring it complements our seasonal menu.
• Provide wine recommendations to guests, enhancing their dining experience.
• Assist during service with running food and drink orders.
• Collaborate with Sommelier to manage wine inventory and ensure proper storage and stock levels.
• Collaborate with chefs and management to pair wines with our culinary offerings.
