American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) in Manchester is seeking a junior contributor to join our software engineering team. You’ll work on travel booking platforms, advance REST APIs, develop new features, and help maintain system reliability.

You’ll collaborate with business partners to understand needs, translate them into actionable solutions, and support production operations in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in C# development with a strong foundation in modern frameworks.
• Expertise in C#, .NET Core, and ASP.NET Core Web API.
• SQL development experience.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies.
• Experience using JIRA and following SDLC best practices.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support existing processes to improve performance and resilience.
• Supplier management: back-office support contract/engineers, review meetings.
• Capture requirements and build solutions by translating business needs into features.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with stakeholders.
