Overview

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a Junior Software Engineer with a can-do attitude to join our dynamic Technology team. This role is ideal for an aspiring developer looking to build a strong foundation in software engineering. You will work within an agile team that values problem-solving, collaboration, and continuous learning. The role provides the opportunity to contribute to real business-critical projects while supporting both internal development and technical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and maintain business software solutions.
  • Write clean, well-structured, and efficient code using modern software development practices.
  • Investigate and resolve escalated technical support queries.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying and suggesting enhancements to existing systems.
  • Support both front-end and back-end development using C#, .NET, SQL Server, and optionally TypeScript.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for internal use.
  • Support development activities aligned with the Mick George DevOps lifecycle.
  • Assist with the support of deployed applications in both test and production environments.
  • Ad hoc tasks within the department as required.
  • Solid understanding of C# and the .NET Framework.
  • Exposure to Microsoft SQL Server and writing basic SQL queries.
  • Experience in troubleshooting system issues.
  • Interest or experience in full stack development including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Willingness to learn multiple programming languages and frameworks.
  • Strong self-motivation and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Eagerness to develop high-quality, reliable, and scalable software.
