Job summary

Understanding Recruitment is recruiting for a Junior Software Engineer – Global FX Trading in London. The role offers a 3 days hybrid pattern and a salary range of £55,000-£70,000 plus bonus.

You will work with Core Java in a high-performance FX trading environment, learning from senior engineers and progressing towards senior roles. Ideal candidates have about 1 year of Java experience, a strong academic record (BSc/MSc in Computer Science from a Russell Group university), and a mindset geared

Qualifications

• Core Java development experience, ideally in financial services.
• Multithreading and concurrency proficiency for high-throughput systems.
• Experience in high-performance, low-latency environments.
• BSc or MSc in Computer Science from a Russell Group university.

Responsibilities

Junior Software Engineer – Global FX Trading

Have you got 1-2 years experience as a Java Developer and are looking for the next step in your career?

Location – 3 days hybrid in London

Salary - £55,000-70,000 + bonus

Our longstanding partner, who are leading at the forefront of FX trading around the world, are on the hunt for a Junior Software Developer who has approx. 1 year experience developing software in the financial space using Core Java without frameworks, to join the London team.

Having been born from one of London’s largest trading firms, they are now expanding into global markets with their high performant FX trading products, consuming over 5 billion messages a day.

This is an excellent position for a Junior Software Developer looking for their second job as you will be working alongside and learning from some of the smartest engineers on the market, with incredible career progression opportunities to rapidly build your career up to senior.

A Junior Software Developer must have the following experience:
