Job summary

EQ Retirement Solutions is seeking a Junior Software Engineer in the Product & Technology department to support the design, development, testing and maintenance of software solutions in an Agile environment.

You will work with engineers to deliver high-quality software, learn modern engineering practices, and grow technical capability while adhering to security and privacy standards.

Qualifications

• Foundation-level experience or knowledge of software development principles.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum)
• Basic understanding of full‑stack development concepts
• Familiarity with source control tools such as Git and Jira
• Understanding of testing approaches including unit and integration testing
• Interest in cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines and modern engineering practices
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
• A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous learning
• Motivation, enthusiasm and a positive attitude

Responsibilities

Role Summary
