Position Overview

Reporting to the Lead Software Developer, the Junior Developer role is a hands‑on development role contributing to Motia applications and services. Working with experienced developers, this role will contribute to developing, testing and maintaining real world software solutions with a focus on industry leading customer experience.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of mobile and web applications and backend solutions.
  • Write clean, efficient, secure and maintainable code in line with functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Debug and resolve technical issues and contribute to solving complex problems.
  • Collaborate with in-house and external team members to deliver quality solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and apply feedback to improve code quality.
  • Actively participate in scrum ceremonies and team meetings.
  • Maintain documentation for code, processes and technical decisions.
  • Contribute to improving software tooling, processes and standards.
  • Stay up to date of emerging technologies and best practices
Qualifications
  • BSc in Computer Science or related subject.
  • Solid understanding of programming languages C# and .NET.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS and front-end frameworks.
  • Knowledge of databases and SQL.
  • Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies
  • Experience working with version control systems (e.g. Git) and deploy.
  • Keen to learn and grow with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Methodical with ability to organise and prioritise.
  • Great problem-solving skills.
  • Good communicator.
