Job summary

CACI Information Intelligence Group (IIG) invites applications for a Junior Software Architect to join the Mood team. This role blends architecture, data modelling, low-code development and customer engagement within agile delivery teams for Defence and Government clients.

You will work with Architects, Consultants and Developers to design, configure and deliver Mood-based solutions, gain experience across the full lifecycle, and communicate effectively with stakeholders while staying current

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or STEM with a 2:1 or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of software development and programming principles.
• Exposure to SQL and relational databases.
• Exposure to JavaScript or similar programming languages.
• Interest in technology, systems thinking and architecture.
• Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly.
• Strong interpersonal skills and confidence engaging with customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and delivery of business and technical solutions for Defence and Government customers.
• Translate business challenges into effective technical solutions with stakeholders.
• Participate in workshops, requirements-gathering sessions and solution design activities.
• Create and maintain data models, architecture artefacts and solution documentation.
• Configure and develop solutions within the Mood platform.
• Design user interfaces, dashboards, reports and visualisations to support customer decision-making.
• Collaborate with Architects, Consultants and Developers across multiple projects.
• Present ideas and explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Keep up to date with emerging technologies, tools and architectural best practices.
